Topic: Protect your glory

The Holy Spirit wants all of you to be in spirit. A long time ago two prophets of God called Elijah and Elisha. As they were moving Elijah knew that he was going to travel in God's aeroplane, which is the chariots of fire. God is too much in every situation. As Elijah was going Elishah was following him.

He didn't ask his master where they were going to. After a while Elijah turned and asked Elisha why he was following him and Elishah responded to him saying master wherever you go I will follow you. Humility is very key. When it comes to the spiritual realm your master determines how far you'll go. The Bible says that the sons of the prophet were telling Elisha that do you know by revelation that your master was going to be taken away today. And Elisha told them to hold their peace. When they approached a big river called Jordan, and Elijah brought out his mantle. The mantle is the power of the Holy Ghost, the anointing of the Holy Ghost that goes with him. He struck the river the river with the mantle the river parted for them to pass. 2 Kings 2:1- 5  "and it came to pass when the Lord will take up Elijah into heaven by the whirlwind and Elijah went with Elishah from Gilgal. And Elijah said to Elisha tarry here I pray thee for the Lord has sent me to Bethel. And Elishah said unto him as the Lord liveth and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel. And the sons of the prophet that  are in Bethel came down Elishah and said unto him, knowest thou that the Lord is taking thy master from thee today, and he said I know it oh ye hold your peace. And Elijah said unto Elishah tarry here I pray thee for the Lord has sent me to Jericho. And Elishah said unto to Elijah as the Lord liveth and as your soul liveth I will not leave thee, so they went down to Jericho. And the sons of the prophet that were at Jericho came on to Elishah and said to him knoweth thou that thy master shall be taken away from thee today and he said unto them yeah I know, hold ye your peace"

Afterwards Elijah said unto Elishah now that you don't want to stay behind, tell me what I must do for you. He didn't ask this question all this while until now because he saw Elisha's consistency. God will not reveal himself to you if you do not press on. That is why the Bible says those that endure to the end shall be saved because the road is too narrow. The narrowness of the road means the ruggedness of the road. Jesus said unto them if anyone must follow me he must deny himself and carry the rugged cross and follow me. The cross means temptation, trials, self-denial, attack and so on. So when you want to become a disciple, Jesus said you must deny yourself and carry his Cross and follow him. 

Matthew 24:1-12  "and Jesus went out and Departed from the temple and the disciples came to him to show him the building of the temple and Jesus said unto them see you not all these things, verily I say unto you there shall not be left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olive , the disciples came on to him privately saying tell us when shall these things be, and what shall be the signs of your coming and the end of the world. And Jesus answered and said until them saying take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name saying I am Christ to deceive many, and you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you be not troubled for all these things must come to pass but the end is not come. For Nations shall rise against Nations and Kingdom against Kingdom. And there shall be famine, pestilence in diverse places. All these are the beginning of Sorrow. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you and you shall be hated upon Nations for my namesake and then shall many be offended and betray one another and shall hate one another and many false prophets shall arise and shall deceive many and because iniquity shall abound the love of many shall wax cold and he that endures to the end shall be saved"

I want you to take note of this because the Bible says a time shall come, bad time, injury-time, risky time but those that endure till the end shall be saved. The just shall live by Faith. To live by Faith means that those that are righteous in Christ shall stand strong like The Rock of Gibraltar. They shall be bold they shall not be weary. They shall carry the cross and shall not look back because they trust the Almighty God. They are just because the Holy Spirit has empowered them. This journey is a tough journey. For you to be victorious in Christ and in life you must endure, carry your Cross and follow Jesus. When you begin to see tribulations and trials, attacks left and right, these are indications of what the Lord has taught you so do not be surprised. And when you see all these things do not be dismayed neither be discouraged but look unto him the Creator, the Mighty God, the only Hope. Hallelujah!!

When Elijah saw that Elishah was consistent he asked him what do you want me to do for you, and Elishah replied saying I need double portion of your anointing. Only one portion of anointing made Elijah to part the river and call fire from heaven, and here is Elisha requesting for a double portion. So Elijah said to him you have asked for a hard thing, you will receive it only when you see with your eyes when I am being taken away from you.

2 Kings 2:11 reads, "and it came to pass, as they still went on and talked behold there appeared a chariot of fire and horses of fire and parted them both asunder and took Elijah. And Elishah saw it and replied my father my father the chariot of Israel the horsemen thereof, and he saw it no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into pieces and took up the mantle of Elijah that fell from him and stood by the bank of Jordan and took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him and smote the water and said where is the Lord God of Elijah and the water parted ways and Elishah went over". Hallelujah!

This is a story for you to learn how to follow your master. We are all disciples of Jesus Christ whether you are a pastor, Reverend, Bishop or a new converts, we are all disciples of Jesus Christ. Elijah left Elisha. And Elishah saw him so he was qualified to get the double portion of the anointing.

The crux of the matter

John 17:22-26 reads, "and the glory which you have given to me I have given to them that they may be one even as we are one. I in them and thou in me that they may be made perfect in one and that the world may know that you have sent me and has loved them as thou has loved me. Father I will that they also whom thou has given me be with me where I am that they may  behold my glory which thou has given me for thou loveth me before the foundation of the world. O righteous father, the world has not Known thee but I know you. And these have known that you have sent me. And I have declared unto them your name and I will declare it that the love which you have loved me may be in them and I in them" 

Everything created on earth has glory. I spoke to you about the glory of the sun and moon. You have glory and I have glory. Your glory is that honour, that blessing that you have. That glory and honour that attracts blessings, increase, love and everything good. That thing that makes you to have breakthrough. That thing that makes you to live and to shine. That is your glory. That thing that makes people to love you, to appreciate you, to give you respect. That is glory. Hallelujah! That glory that God gave to Jesus Christ before the Earth was formed, Jesus was created with glory and honour. That is why Jesus is the word of God. That is why Jesus is the begotten son of the Father, he never disagreed with his father from the beginning. When the father says here, Jesus says I am here. When the father told Jesus to go and die for the world, he never disagreed with the father, he never argued. He worked with his father. He and the father are one. Hallelujah!

Many people separate themselves from the source of their power. In their workplace they separate themselves from their boss, disagreeing with their boss. They want to teach their boss instead of adding value. When someone separate him or herself from the source of his or her power, they amount to nothing. Had it been Elisha stopped at Gilgal and didn't follow the master, he would have been an empty prophet. So those of you that have been baptized you have received a new glory from the Lord Jesus Christ. This is because when you resurrected with Jesus Christ after your baptism you have put on the garments, honour and Glory of Jesus Christ which attracts every blessing of the Kingdom. You must not water it down or undermine it. In the body of Christ, lot of people water down or dilute what God has given to them. What you have received is a precious gold. It is an honour and Glory you have received in the body of Christ. You must put on this glory and honour. You must work with it. You must not allow the enemy to tamper with it because that glory is what attracts Satan. Satan wants to stain your white garments. Any power or demon trying to stop you from shining like the stars of heaven, I rebuke it on your behalf. You have been given the power, teachings and enablement to conquer every enemy of your life and Glory. Your glory, virtue and destiny will never be tampered with in the name of Jesus Christ. This is why you must protect your Glory. You must protect your virtue and destiny. How do you do that? By not obeying Satan the devil. The scripture says that because I obey God I am made wiser than my enemies. So what the enemy wants to do is to make you to disobey God and commit sin so that he can use it and accuse you before your maker. Satan wants to cover your glory because that gives him joy. Jesus said that Satan has come to steal, kill and destroy. He steals and covers people's glory so that they will not shine. When you commit sin your glory is covered but when you receive fire from the Holy Ghost your glory will shine. You will shine like the stars of heaven in Jesus name. Moses said to God show me your Glory and God showed him and he was covered with God's glory and the Israelites could not behold his face.
